There's plenty wrong with our educational system, but it would most certainly be in better shape if we had more teachers like this author. It's obvious that he deeply he cared about the kids. I laughed and cried and couldn’t wait to get to the next page. Great stories from a great writer about a life that is often stranger than fiction. An easy read that had me nostalgic for my teenage years while simultaneously appreciating the wisdom that only comes with age. Like one of the other reviewers, I find it hard to put down. Up until my twin daughters were about 10, we had a nightly ritual of me reading aloud to them. I grew to eagerly await that time together, but also it was great when we had a book where I really wanted to see what happens next. Peter's book is one of those!
