It was fascinating to read Andrew Lang's "other" interests (besides folk and fairy tales). This read a bit dry and was not "stories," but mindset of the day and retellings of actual sightings and events of people in the late 1800's and earlier. There was nothing spooky about it, as it was written very matter-of-factly. Interesting, but not a quick read. Curious people and thoughtful (thinking) people who wonder about such things could benefit from its contents. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2014 )

The person I purchased this from literally emailed me within minutes after I made the transaction saying that they had to deal with a funeral out of state and wouldn't be able to get the book to me in time. Turns out I wasn't getting the book at all and they were just getting my money. Granted it was only about $5 but the fact that they stole money is ridiculous.
